Rose becomes pregnant and leaves her child with relatives to bring up. She becomes invaluable to the farmer she works for. He
eventually marries her but they have no children. He becomes very mad one night about this. When Rose tells him about her
child, he changes his tune entirely, because now he can adopt the boy.
